Introduction to the Institute
The Halal Advancement Institute of Korea (HAI Korea), a subsidiary of the Korea Muslim Federation (KMF), was established to delegate KMF's halal certification duties and promote the growth of the halal industry, providing KMF halal certification since 1994 to facilitate exports of domestic companies to Islamic countries.
The KMF Halal Committee has collaborated internationally, signing mutual recognition agreements and MOUs with various certification and accreditation agencies worldwide, such as Malaysia's JAKIM, Indonesia's BPJPH, Singapore's MUIS, Taiwan's THIDA, Thailand's CICOT, USA's IFANCA, Turkey's HAK, and the OIC's SMIIC, ensuring KMF's halal certification is widely recognized. Additionally, it coordinates support through cooperation with various government agencies, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), Korea Food Research Institute, and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
The Halal Advancement Institute of Korea operates a professional and systematic global halal certification system, offering reliable halal certification services through qualified inspectors.
